Joakim Noah delivered a triple double for the Chicago Bulls (33-25) Thursday night against the Philadelphia 76ers. The boost from the big man couldn’t come at a better time. The Bulls have struggled of late, giving up games to Cleveland, Miami and Oklahoma City and falling to 4-6 in their last ten contests. The excuses are widespread. Blame it on the absence of Derrick Rose. Or the  no-man’s land of a frozen February in the NBA where promising teams can slide into obscurity. There’s also the problem of the Bulls limited scoring options. Coupled with enough injuries to fill up an ER and you get a team that is struggling to keep up with Central Division rival Indiana (36-22). Noah helped provide an answer to the lethargic team play of late with 23 points, 21 rebounds and a career-high 11 blocked shots to shut down Philadelphia and cement a regular season series sweep. The center’s 11 blocked shots ties the Chicago Bulls record last set by Artis Gilmore back in 1977. Like many Bulls wi...

Best of Joakim Noah's historic triple-double

Recording his second triple-double of the season, Joakim Noah is the first Bulls since Artis Gilmore in 1977 to have a points-rebounds-blocks triple-double, as well as the first player since 1998 (Shawn Bradley) to put up at least 20 points, 20 rebounds and 10 blocks. How about he’s the first player in NBA history with 20+ points, 20+ rebounds, 10 blocks and 65% shooting from...

Pregame dunks have dominated a lot of the conversation this week. Lebron’s warm up ritual with the Heat, sparking debate- again – about how he would fair in the All-Star weekend event. While Derrick Rose’s pregame dunks have Bulls fans hopeful he can return to the line up and help the Bulls in the playoffs. For the second time this week, DRose dunked but does that mean he...

Mr. Triple Double - Joakim Noah

I think this will be a new segment because I am a huge fan of triple doubles. I love them so much that my favorite players are Jason Kidd, Rajon Rondo and Lebron James. So Today's Mr. Triple Double, which will be a daily/weekly/monthly/whenever the hell I feel like it award, is Joakim Noah.  If you fell asleep, don't get league pass or didn't care about a 76ers/Bulls...

Nate Robinson gets special locker in New Orleans arena (Picture)

Last week, the Chicago Bulls traveled to New Orleans to face the Hornets and it appears that someone decided to pull off an epic prank on Bulls guard Nate Robinson.Robinson (who is famous for his 5'9 height) arrived at New Orleans Arena to the below scene of his locker being adjusted to a shorter height:(Courtesy of Holdout Sports/Image via @RipCity3232)

Noah leads Bulls over Nets

Joakim Noah had 21 points and 10 rebounds, Carlos Boozer scored 20 points and the Chicago Bulls beat the Brooklyn Nets, 96-85, on Saturday. The Bulls went on a 19-0 run that started in the second quarter and stretched into third, giving them an 18-point lead. They opened March on a winning note after going 5-8 in February, just their second losing month in 2 1/2 seasons under coach...

If There’s A Flood, Noah Won’t Let Anyone From Philly Into His Ark

So one of my favorite directors, Darren Aronofsky, is working on a new movie Noah that is going to come out some time in 2014.  Yeah, it’s about the dude in the “we’re gonna need animals in this boat”, not “we’re gonna need a bigger boat.”  Russell Crowe is going to be Noah.  Hmmmm.  (Did you know “hm” can be played in scrabble and Words With Friends?  Man...

Game 60 Recap: Bulls 96, Nets 85. The One Where The Turnovers Ran Wild, For The Nets

Joakim Noah won the battle of Eastern Conference All-Star centers, edging out Brook Lopez   Hey, it's a turnover! Over here! Over there! Ok, enough for my children's book-like recap of whatever the hell happened tonight in Chicago. The Nets got simply punked tonight by a Bulls team missing it's star player (Derrick Rose) and a key bench defender/jack...

Bo Jackson Tells Derrick Rose, Don’t Try To Be Superman

Bo Jackson is one of the greatest athletes of our time.  Famous for his “Bo Knows” commercials, one thing Jackson knows is what it takes to return from severe injury. Jackson made an amazing comeback in 1993 from  hip-replacement surgery, after being hurt with the Oakland Raiders.  Jackson says he doesn’t watch much sports these days, but is aware of Derrick Rose and his...
