If Mark Cuban were to really give Brittney Griner a shot in the NBA ... well, one of her "future" teammates thinks she's have more than a little trouble with the transition. "You're kind of caught between a 3 and a 4, it's tough," Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki said, according to The Dallas Morning News, when asked about Griner playing in the NBA. "Youve got to be fast and athletic at that spot. Youve got to be able to shoot. Youve got to be able to go by people, guard people on the other end, chase people off of screen-and-rolls and post up. "It's tough, it's tough." If anyone would know, it's Nowitzki, who's spent his entire career playing the position that 6-8 Griner would be expected to play in the NBA. In college, Griner is a natural center, but would easily be three inches too short to play that position in the NBA. But what about Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle? Does he think Griner could suit up for his team? "I know shes a hell of a player," Carlisle told the newspaper. "Beyond that, I dont want to get into the polarizing discussion about it."
