All Things Nuggets:
Both Nuggets starting shooting guard Arron Afflalo and reserve guard Rudy Fernandez are erring on the side of caution in returning from injuries in order not to come back too fast and suffer a setback.
Because of that mindset, neither sounded overly optimistic about playing on Wednesday in the Nuggets’ next game at Sacramento. Afflalo has a groin injury and Fernandez has been dealing with a chronically sore Achilles for much of the early season.
“I feel better,” Fernandez said today. “I think the last few days the treatment is good. I just started doing exercises with my feet. I don’t know if I can play Wednesday, but I think these two days with a little practice, we’ll see what happens.”
Fernandez did not play in the Nuggets last game, at New York, after playing 11 painful minutes at Washington the night before.
