The Denver Nuggets and forward Danilo Gallinari agreed to a four-year contract extension Wednesday. The deal was worth slightly more than $42 million for the 23-year-old Gallinari. Acquired in the deal that sent Carmelo Anthony to the New York Knicks last season, Gallinari is averaging a career-high 17.4 points this season. The No. 6 overall pick of New York in the 2008 draft, Gallinari also is shooting a career-best 46.2 percent from the floor.
