Another Denver Nuggets starter suffered what appeared to be a significant injury last night, as Kenneth Faried rolled his ankle and had to be carried off the court by two of his teammates.Faried sustained his injury early in last night’s contest against the Portland Trail Blazers. He was heading to the basket, but he stepped on the foot of Will Barton in the process. After rolling his ankle, Faried remained on the ground for some time before being carried off the court.Following the game, the Nuggets announced that X-rays taken on Faried’s ankle were negative and that he is considered day-to-day. He will undergo an MRI today to determine the extent of the damage.Prior to his injury, Faried was the only Nuggets’ player to start all 80 contests for the club, averaging 11.7 points and 9.3 rebounds over 28.4 minutes per game. Denver just got point guard Ty Lawson back from injury, and they lost Danilo Gallinari to a season-ending torn ACL injury just over a week ago.Follow @hoopsinjurynews!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://www.nbainjurynews.com//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");
