Tonight, Andre Miller ties Stacey Augmon on the NBA’s most games played list. Yep, Stacey Augmon, at 1,001 games played at the highest level of basketball in the world. He’s 97th in NBA history. I must admit I was 1) kind of surprised that Stacey Augmon had even played over 1,000 games in the NBA; and 2) That there are now 100 players in the history of the league to reach the 1,000 games played mark. I thought the group was a bit more exclusive than that. And yet, in a league that has literally seen thousands of players bounce in and out, this is, in fact, a very exclusive list. And now Miller is on it. There may not be a more underrated, underappreciated player on that list of longevity’s superstars. The way he’s playing it seems like Miller may have another 1,000 in him. In his 13th season, second only to Al Harrington as the eldest of the elder statesman on the team, there are few Nuggets having a better season or more impact on winning than Miller.
