The Denver Nuggets are facing the Lakers in the postseason for the third time in five years, so coach George Karl already knows plenty about what doesn't work against Kobe Bryant and his 7-foot teammates.
Karl sees a chance for the Nuggets to get it right this time in a major playoff upset, but only if they run the Lakers off the court.
The third-seeded Lakers open their quest for their 17th NBA title Sunday against another perennial playoff team.
The Nuggets realize they're underdogs again, but after winning eight of their final 10 games to earn the sixth seed, they're confident their up-tempo transition game will give trouble to the Lakers' bulky lineup.
Los Angeles must play its next six games without suspended forward Metta World Peace.

Nuggets vs. Lakers is speed vs. power
The Denver Nuggets desperately wanted to make the playoffs to get their new young roster some experience under pressure.
In coach George Karl's mind, they got a jumpstart on that.
Karl had his team treat the last seven regular season games as a playoff series, suggesting Denver had to win at least four to reach the postseason for a ninth straight season.
They won six, moving...
Metta World Peace makes video mocking how he always passes to Kobe Bryant
You know when Metta World Peace doesn’t have to pass the ball to Kobe Bryant? When he’s serving a seven-game suspension for cracking an opponent in the head with an elbow. Otherwise, the funny little clip you see above that I Am a GM shared with us is pretty accurate. And why shouldn’t it be? World Peace certainly isn’t a scorer, and the Lakers have done pretty well in the...

Kobe sits as Lakers lose in finale
Kobe Bryant skipped a chance to win an NBA scoring title and thought nothing of it.
The Lakers' star sat on the visitor's bench during Sacramento's meaningless 113-96 victory over Los Angeles in Thursday night's regular-season finale dressed in a sharp grey suit and tie. Even if he wanted to prevent Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant from leading the league in scoring...

Kobe, Lakers handle Nuggets in Game 1
Kobe Bryant scored 31 points, Andrew Bynum posted the Lakers' first playoff triple-double in 21 years with an NBA postseason record-tying 10 blocked shots, and Los Angeles thoroughly controlled the tempo in a playoff-opening 103-88 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.

Top 10 NBA Jersey Sales of the 2011-2012 Season
With all the .com websites from China charging a fraction of what your Modells and Dick's sporting good stores are charging, I did not know that people actually still bought jerseys from stores anymore.
