The Denver Nuggets set a NBA single-game record by missing all 22 of their 3-point attempts during their 101-93 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday. Ironically, Portland previously held the all-time mark for 3-point futility by going 0-for-20 behind the arc in a victory over Toronto earlier this month. On the flip side, the Blazers rained down three's during their affair on Thursdsay. They connected on 14 of their 36 shots from long range to propel themselves to a victory over the visiting Nuggets."You can say guys are getting tired but it's not an excuse," Denver guard Corey Brewer said. "When you're missing like we missed, it's just tough. They shot it well from 3, and that's what beat us."Denver's shooting was so bad that they missed their first 28 shots from outside of five feet. Ty Lawson's 17-foot jumper with 38 seconds remaining in the game ended the woeful shooting drought. It is amazing the Nuggets only lost by eight considering the circumstance.Via Denver Post.
