Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson has missed time due to a torn plantar facia, but he could return as soon as tonight, the team has announced. Coach George Karl said he would give Lawson roughly 15 to 20 minutes of playing time if he wants to test his foot tonight against the San Antonio Spurs.#Nuggets coach George Karl says he would give @tylawson3 a 15-20 minute window if he wants to play Wednesday vs. Spurs.— Denver Nuggets (@denvernuggets) April 9, 2013 Plantar facia tears can be tricky, as the only recovery program is truly rest and immobilization. For this reason, Lawson could probably use some time to get back on his feet and the court prior to the start of the playoffs.However, the point guard also doesn’t want to rush his return and experience a setback, which could potentially put his availability for the postseason in jeopardy. It’s an interesting situation, as the Nuggets are attempting to claim the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference, and having a healthy Lawson on the court will only help them.Follow @hoopsinjurynews!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://www.nbainjurynews.com//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");
