In what amounts to a return to our regularly scheduled big-market rumor programming, Hoopshype today is leading with a Chris Broussard column about CP3 wanting to go to New York. Ay yi yi. It's reassuring to glance at his details and realize this is just more of the same -- that Broussard hasn't got a handle, particularly, on the new CBA and that he's just trotting out the same ol' same ol'.
He also, though, moves on from Chris Paul to suggest that the Clippers are serious about Dwight Howard. His specifics go sour -- check out the list of young talent they'd supposedly offer and you'll recognize that two examples of that "young talent" are more like "caustic contracts" at this point -- but the outlines of an idea are there:

Earlier today, an NBA trade rumor had Chris Paul getting traded to the Boston Celtics. The deal would have sent Rajon Rondo to the New Orleans Hornets. However, according to sources close to Chris Paul, the Celtics can quit their daydreaming because Paul won’t sign an extension with Boston.
Without an extension, the Celtics wouldn’t do the deal. Why would Paul shun the Celtics...
