After being bounced from the playoffs by the Boston Celtics the Orlando Magic have some tough decisions in the off-season. Matt Barnes can opt-out of his contract, but has indicated he would like to stay in Orlando. J.J. Redick is a restricted free agent and the Magic can match any offer he does get. Jason Williams and Anthony Johnson and backup center Adonal Foyle will probably not be brought back. The Magic also need to decide what they want to do with Vince Carter.

Vince Carter was brought in to be the guy to get the Magic back to the finals and a NBA Championship. In year one it did not work out like GM Otis Smith had hoped for. Carter struggled to find his way and at times he looked lost in the offense. In the playoffs especially against Boston he really did not do much. Many people feel they should move him out of Orlando, but I just do not see many people who would want to take the massive salary. Orlando has very limited options, but they need to get a guy who can score points on a consistent basis. It is possible they may have to package some players to get a scorer they can count on. No matter what Orlando has some tough decisions in the off-season to make.
