New York Knicks guard Pablo Prigioni proved himself to be a master flopper while drawing fouls against the Boston Celtics in two separate instances during Friday night's Game 6 of their NBA Eastern Conference playoff series. In the second quarter, Prigioni was able to draw some light contact on Jason Terry, but fell backwards as if Terry had ran him over. In the third quarter, Prigioni used the same move to draw a foul on Avery Bradley, then snapped his head back even though he was hit on the arm. Prigioni scored 14 points in the Knicks' 88-80 win over the Celtics, helping them advance to the next round of the playoffs. However, Prigioni may want to lighten up on the flopping, as he can only get away with that move so many times before being called out on it. H/T LBS. Lala throwing shots at Celtics Jordan Crawford?

It’s the NBA playoffs so everything is major. Following a skirmish at the end of Wednesday night’s Celtics vs. Knicks. Celts reserve Jordan Crawford could be seen talking sh*t to Carmelo Anthony. There are several people who graduated from lip reading 101 believe that Crawford said something to the effect of “my homeboy fu*ked your wife.” The jury is still out on that but...

Why has no NBA team ever come back from a 3-0 deficit? The Knicks and Thunder should not take that for granted.

The 2004 Yankees will tell you how easy it is for a playoff series to get away from you. I vividly remember the cover of the sports section of the NYTimes on the day of game 4 against the Red Sox and there were brooms all over it, as they approached a sweep. Just a few days later, the Yankees were eliminated by their long-time rival, and before they knew it, the curse of the Bambino...

Knicks' coach Woodson says he didn't know about funeral stunt. Right.

Funny how things change after a loss. The Knicks arrived at Madison Square Garden for Game 5 dressed all in black to signify the funeral of the Celtics season. This was apparently news for Knicks coach Mike Woodson. From the Boston Globe: I didn’t know about it until this (Thursday) morning,” Woodson said. “I made reference to our guys that we need to stay out of the paper...

Celtics Showing J.R. Smith, Carmelo Anthony That Teamwork Will Win Out If Knicks Give Them Opening

What the Celtics have needed all season is to come together as a team, to move the ball and make the most of their talent, to not fall into ruts where other teams can feast on their weaknesses. For many stretches this year, the Celtics could not do that. Then, even after they discovered how to play in such a way after losing Rajon Rondo to a season-ending injury, they stumbled again...

Knicks nearly blow huge lead, survive

Leave it to the Knicks to be up 26 points in the fourth quarter of a playoff game and nearly blow it. A 75-49 cruise became a dogfight in the blink of an eye Friday night, with New York barely holding on to advance to the second round in the least celebratory way possible. The Celtics went on a 20-0 run in the fourth quarter, despite having amassed just 49 points in the game up...

Comments from the Other Side - Knicks Game 5 5/1

Knicks fans are hysterical.   So boastful and full of themselves at the beginning and  all their players are the best ever.   They start losing the game and all their players are all losers and should be cut.    And when all else fails, blame the refs.   Pretty much, the officiating wasn't all that bad in this game.  The Knicks shot 3 more free throws than the Celtics...

Carmelo Anthony Admits Wife Should Be Upset

After Jordan Crawford allegedly made a derogatory comment about his wife LaLa, Carmelo Anthony admitted his celebrity spouse has every right to be upset over being brought up repeatedly. "I would be upset too if I were her," Anthony said on Friday. "She always gets thrown into the mix of the Boston Celtics series. So I would be upset. She's her own person and...

Knicks, Pacers struggling with isolation

Carmelo Anthony did not have a "hot spot" on the floor against the Celtics. The New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers will renew their postseason rivalry beginning with Game 1 on Sunday at 3:30 ET on ABC. This marks the seventh postseason meeting all-time between the Pacers and Knicks. The teams split the previous six meetings, 3-3. The interesting thing about this matchup...
