Waiting For Next Year:
We brought help [on LeBron] when we needed to. We tried to make him work for everything. He is a great player and he is going to get points. We did not want to give him breakaways and easy lay-ups at the basket. The only positive thing about [tonight's game] is that we competed and played better. We are not satisfied coming out with the loss, but with the last couple of games we have played, we competed tonight and stayed in it and fought. That was positive.

The Cavaliers made the decision at the beginning of the year that swingman Christian Eyenga needed more work and opportunities to play than he would get in Cleveland. So they did what was expected and sent him to the D-League Canton Charge affiliate. Coach Scott said publicly that he wanted Eyenga to work on his defense, and I’m sure the whole organization would appreciate if...
In a recent report put together by Forbes which discussed the current state and value of NBA franchises as well as the successful television ratings which continue to go hand-in-hand with star-centric sporting events, we find that the Cleveland Cavaliers turned their biggest profit in the history of the franchise during the season which LeBron James was no longer a fixture within...
The Cleveland Cavaliers have dropped 4 games in a row. I guess you can say Cleveland is on a losing streak. The Cavs have been guilty of turning the ball over and making bad decisions passing the ball. Tonight if Cleveland is going to win against the New York Knicks they simply have to stop making mistakes. Sure the Cavaliers are a young team with Rookies Kyrie Irving and Tristan...
We don't know why Cleveland Cavalier owner Dan Gilbert's Twitter account posted a strange picture on his feed sometime late on Wednesday night. We do know that, whether that was his artful and William Eggleston-take on a middling life spent in hotel rooms, or the odd work of some Twitter hacker, we loved the shot. Even if it's since been deleted.
A random shot of something...
Irving ranks 47th in minutes for all guards this season, but ninth in scoring
[Anderson Varejao] brings a toughness here and it’s contagious. It was contagious throughout the entire game, even through our bench. The bench is just as important as the starters, so it feels good to win. [...] I wasn’t really focused on my offense. I just wanted to help out my teammates. I only attempted six shots tonight and I have no problem doing that. I get my teammates...
The Cavs are averaging the third-most turnovers at 16.8 per game
Knicks have not won at The Q since Nov. 29, 2006, a streak spanning nine games.
Wait, we’re not tired of the “taking my [blank] to [blank]” jokes yet, are we?
The struggling Cleveland Cavaliers (6-9) must go to Miami where they will face the reigning Eastern Conference Champion Heat (11-5).
In some ways, both teams are having similar starts to their seasons as they had last year. The Cavaliers started off showing some spunk, winning games here and there...
Don’t call Kyrie Irving another LeBron James just because he’s also a Cleveland No. 1 pick. But if you want to call him another Chris Paul, that might be OK.
In fact, James said he sees plenty of similarities between the Cavaliers rookie point guard and Paul, the Clippers star point.
“He reminds me of CP early [...]
