While Mike Budenholzer isn't a part of the Milwaukee Bucks organization anymore, this doesn't mean that his connection with the franchise is severed as well. For five seasons of fruitful partnership, the bond between Bud and the entire team will always extend beyond the lines of the court and will mean more than the game itself.

And interestingly, the current member of the ball club who obtained Mike's warm gesture and consideration is the most unexpected one you can think of — none other than Patrick Beverley.

Coach Bud with the dime to Pat Bev

In the latest episode of his The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone, Beverley candidly revealed that as he finally settled in Milwaukee upon his Bucks midseason trade landing, Buddenholzer lent him a hand for a new home to temporarily stay in.

As it is, Patrick has been loving all the vibes and amenities he's been enjoying in renting Bud's property, and he didn't miss the chance to throw a sweet shout-out to the former Bucks mentor in his podcast.

"Coach Budenholzer, shout out to you. Thanks for allowing me to rent out this spot. Incredible spot, so cozy, everything is great," Pat shared.

A commendable gesture

Beverley has been in the NBA for 12 seasons and suited up for seven different teams throughout his entire professional career, but he hasn't played any single campaign under coach Bud. Amid this on-court unfamiliarity, this didn't hinder the ex-Bucks tactician from showing his fondness for the team, specifically for Pat, by assisting the veteran to instantly feel at home already in Milwaukee despite just his recent arrival.

Budenholzer, 54, served as the Bucks' head coach in the past five seasons. With a 271-190 regular season coaching record (.693% win rate) for them, he guided the Bucks to a consistent postseason appearance, including a successful championship run in the 2020-21 campaign.

After the Bucks' disappointing first-round collapse against the Miami Heat in last year's playoffs, the franchise decided to part ways with him.
