In somewhat of a plesant surprise, the Phildelphia 76ers have been 21st by ESPN the Magazine in their annual professional sports rankings. The 76ers come in ahead of the Phillies (49), Flyers (55), and Eagles (73). The rankings are based upon bang for the buck, fan relations, ownership, affordability, stadium experience, players, coaching, and title track.   The Sixers have seen a significant surge in popularity since bringing on new ownership and acquiring center, Andrew Bynum. It has been a while since they have stolen headlines from the Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers. Philadelphia 76ers' Bynum to Begin Treatments Next Week

An NBA league source told the Courier-Post that the 76ers' center, Andrew Bynum, will undergo his scheduled knee procedure next week from Monday to Friday. The procedure will be performed in Germany by Dr. Peter Wehling.
