The Phoenix Suns will wear their black throwback “Hardwood Classics” in their home game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night on ESPN, which also happens to be Steve Nash’s first game back in Phoenix.
According to AZ Central:
The black jerseys looked cool to [the players] then and now as they bring back the 1994-2000 look for the first time tonight against the Los Angeles Lakers and Steve Nash, who wore the alternative jersey for some of his first two NBA seasons.
The Suns are wearing black throwback jerseys tonight as part of the NBA’s ”Hardwood Classics” and are one of seven teams participating. They received clearance to debut the “stylish” uniform, as Sebastian Telfair calls it, early because of the ESPN telecast tonight. They will wear them for six more games and sell them in the Suns Team Shop starting in Feburary.
