Tony Parker for MVP?

Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs has three NBA championships, one NBA Finals MVP and five NBA All-Star appearances. One thing is missing from the impressive resume, an MVP award. How much more can Tony Parker be ignored as a great player and possibly an MVP candidate for 2013. Named the Western Conference player of the month for January, Parker responded “I don’t care about...

Parker leads shorthanded Spurs to win

Tony Parker had 29 points and 11 assists in another brilliant performance without his two sidekicks, and the San Antonio Spurs dominated the second half to beat the Brooklyn Nets 111-86 on Sunday night. Two nights after a loss in Detroit ended their 11-game winning streak, the Spurs got back on track quickly behind Parker, who fell short of his third straight 30-point game only...

Coach Pop says Parker should be in the race for MVP

Last night against Brooklyn, San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker was one point away from his third 30-point game in a row. TP has been on a tear this season, especially while fellow All-Star Tim Duncan has been sidelined with injuries. This debate came up last year, and deserves to be brought up again. Why isn’t Tony Parker getting any love in the MVP race? For the last...

NEW YORK (AP) -- Tony Parker had 29 points and 11 assists in another brilliant performance without his two sidekicks, and the San Antonio Spurs dominated the second half to beat the Brooklyn Nets 111-86 on Sunday night. Game 51 Recap: Spurs 111, Nets 86. The One Where It Literally Fell Apart for Brooklyn

Tony Parker has style both on and off the court. And tonight, that style decimated a lifeless Nets team that was embarrassed in their home arena   I'm starting to have serious doubts with this Nets team. Why? Oh, nothing other than that they are riding a two-game losing streak involving some absolutely disheartening circumstances. Of course, we have Friday...

The matchup for tonight's game when the San Antonio Spurs visit the Cleveland Cavaliers before the All-Star break will be between Tony Parker and Kyrie Irving. Video: Stephen A. Smith comments on Parker's MVP candidacy

ESPN's Stephen A. Smith is no stranger to hate from fans of the San Antonio Spurs. When discussing about the NBA MVP, Skip Bayless picked Tony Parker as his pick for league MVP while Smith picked Lebron James. To some, it might be a surprise that Smith did give Parker some props on his play, but it may be seen as a "back handed" compliment. He goes on saying that the...

Spurs-Bulls Preview

Whether or not Tim Duncan or Manu Ginobili are able to return for Monday night's matchup with the Chicago Bulls, the San Antonio Spurs seem to be in good hands with Tony Parker running the show. The red-hot point guard looks to help San Antonio earn a 13th victory in 14 games when it faces a Chicago team returning home after an up-and-down road trip. Duncan has missed eight...
