Despite being badly outmanned in the paint, New York Knicks center Marcus Camby has seen 12 seconds of action against the Indiana Pacers due to pain from plantar fasciitis. Falling 82-71 in Game 3 on Saturday night in the Eastern Conference semifinals, New York is being manhandled by the Pacers quartet of Paul George, David West, Roy Hibbert and Tyler Hansbrough. Hobbled and never to be confused with Bill Russell, the Knicks could benefit from using the 39-year-old Camby in certain situations. Granted, the 6-foot-11, 235 pound Camby only competed in 24 regular season games and averaged a mere 1.8 … Continue reading →

Knicks News: Amar’e Stoudemire In, JR Smith Out?

By Ralph Guerrero @ralphguerrero Amar’e Stoudemire is set to return in limited minutes today as the New York Knicks take on the Indiana Pacers.   With the series tied at one game a piece, Amar’e Stoudemire is set to return to action and is likely to play 10-15 minutes off the bench.  Unfortunately for the Knicks, the added reserve firepower may just be a replacement and not...

J.R. Smith’s Illness Feels Like Only Part of Story for Knicks Guard as Struggles Continue

It goes without saying that J.R. Smith has not been the same player in the playoffs that he was in the regular season, when he averaged 18.1 points off the bench and earned the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award. Calling him a “no-show” lately would be generous. At least if he were a no-show, his effect on the Knicks would be neutral. Instead, he is starting to outright hurt...

Coach Woodson Is Afraid J.R. Smith’s Virus May Spread To Teammates

Carmelo on Chandler Saying Knicks are Selfish: “I Don’t Know What He’s Talking About”

After shooting 35 percent and scoring only 71 points during game 3 against the Pacers, the New York Knicks find themselves looking in the mirror yawning for an identity on the court as they approach game 4 tonight. While everyone was showering their special lady for Mother’s Day, Tyson Chandler was busy watching tapes, and vocalizing what he feels is the issue with the Knicks,...

Pacers Fan Shows How Much He Dislikes the New York Knicks

There is no doubt that people from the Midwest live a different life than those from New York City.  The fast paced life of the Big Apple is enough to scare off the laid back country life of anyone from that region. But a fan attending game three of the Knicks/Pacers series made it abundantly clear about how he felt about New York.  Well, the Knicks at least.  This picture, snapped...

Carmelo To Discuss Criticism From Chandler In Private

Carmelo Anthony intends to privately speak with Tyson Chandler about comments made by the latter about him being too selfish in Game 3. "You want to take over the game or you want to make a big shot where you (should) stick to the game plan," said Chandler, not mentioning Anthony by name. "A good team wins basketball games. Unless you’re a great, great, great, great...

Tyson Chandler Pleads For Better Ball Movement Heading Into Game 4

The New York Knicks were herald as a team that would be the likely opponents of the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals, but as of late, they appear to be a flummoxed team struggling against the defensive prowess of the Indiana Pacers. Tyson Chandler, whom has been struggling himself against Roy Hibbert this [...]The post Tyson Chandler Pleads For Better Ball Movement Heading...

Jason Kidd hasn't scored in 7 games, since Knicks-Celtics Game 2

Starting on April 26th, over the Knicks last 7 postseason games Jason Kidd has played a total of 161 minutes (averaging 23 per game).  In that time he's grabbed 30 rebounds, dished out 16 assists, had 5 steals, and even blocked 4 shots.  But he's 0-14 from the field, and scored a total of zero points.  After a lot of research, I think it's likely that's the longest...

He says he brought a monocle with him to...

Spike Lee reportedly offered Pacers fan $40k for seat

Spike Lee has a long and well-documented history against the Indiana Pacers. The New York Knicks superfan has been tormenting the Pacers organization ever since the early 1990s when the two teams saw each other in the playoffs on multiple occasions. Every one of those meetings turned out to be epic, and despite sitting in the stands, Lee played a role in several of them. Now, in 2013...

Roy Hibbert has his moment

When the Portland Trail Blazers offered Roy Hibbert a max $58.4 million, four-year deal it seemed like it was asking a lot from a one-time All Star who had a strong start to the shortened 2012 season, but struggled to the end. Hibbert was improving and had become a good player, but perhaps not someone you throw a max contract at and build a team around. There were concerns when...
