Beyond The Buzzer:
Pistons’ Corey Maggette hasn’t played since December 15th despite being being able and ready to play all season, and he’s handling it like a pro. The thirteen-year-veteran, who averaged 15 points and 4 rebounds (28 minutes) with Charlotte last season, says he “had no idea” that the franchise not viewing him as apart of the future is the reason he’s been benched for 45 consecutive games.
According to David Mayo, Michigan Live:
Do I know why? No. Is there a reason why I shouldn’t be playing? No. It’s tough, because I am a competitor. But there’s nothing I can do about it.
“I’m not going to talk bad about my situation because it’s not professional. It’s not what you’re supposed to do. To me, the thing is just to keep working. A professional, to me, is helping the young guys, who are able to make me better…

Bynum’s performance and contributions however may be halted due to a hand injury something...

The scouting report against the Minnesota Timberwolves is pretty simple - pack the paint, because they can't shoot 3-pointers.
Don't tell that to the Detroit Pistons.

After avoiding their longest losing streak in three years, the Detroit Pistons are hoping to end their longest home skid in more than 12.
In order to accomplish that feat Tuesday night, they'll have to snap a four-game slide against a Minnesota Timberwolves team seeking its first back-to-back road wins in more than a year.
Detroit (24-47) dropped its previous 10 games by an...
