AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Austin Daye endured a miserable shooting slump throughout last season and a 21-game benching this season. Given a chance to play regularly again, Daye has looked like a different player. Daye had a season-high 13 points, including a clinching 3-pointer with 11.5 seconds remaining, as the Detroit Pistons won their third straight game 103-97 over the Sacramento Kings at The Palace on Tuesday night. The fourth-year forward shot 32 percent from the field and 21 percent on 3-point tries last season but he's become a threat since replacing Corey Maggette in the rotation. Daye is shooting 45.5 percent overall and 65 percent from long range. "The basket still seems regular-sized but my confidence is just higher," he said. "I feel that a lot of the shots I take are going in and I'm not scared to take them." Coach Lawrence Frank said Daye had difficulty handling adversity last season but when he began this season at the end of the b...

Isaiah Thomas Calls Charlie Villanueva A “Dirty Player”

Isaiah Thomas on if being airborne on the play made it worse: “No it was just the fact that it was a dirty play and he’s a dirty player,” Thomas said. “It is what it is. He got kicked out of the game so it wasn’t nothing big. A lot of guys do stuff like that knowing you can’t really fight in this league so it’s all right.”  On if he tried to throw a punch as it looked...

Stay Classy Charlie Villanueva

The sad part about this whole clip? This might have been the most effort Charlie Villanueva has ever produced during his stint with the Pistons.  This is the same guy who had the nerve to call out Garnett to the public about his trash talking.  At least Garnett doesn't commit flagrant twos by decking a little guy to the floor.  No attempt at the ball or anything. On a side...

Pistons better off without Cousins

DETROIT -- DeMarcus Cousins is a very talented NBA player. That doesn't mean the Pistons should try to get him. Cousins was chosen by the Sacramento Kings with the fifth overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, two slots ahead of Greg Monroe. Because the two play the same position and the Pistons were interested in Cousins back then, people often link the two players. With Cousins...

The play in question came just before halftime as Thomas was driving to the net with little time left on the shot clock. Charlie Villanueva Ejected for Elbow to Isaiah Thomas (Video)

The Detroit Pistons beat the Sacramento Kings 103-97 yesterday.  Long time veteran Charlie Villanueva was tossed from the game after a flagrant foul on Isaiah Thomas.  If you ask me it looked like a normal foul other than the fact that Thomas went to the ground and got back up like he wanted to fight.  Villanueva looked to be going after the ball and only made contact to Thomas...
