The Detroit Pistons will bid farewell to veteran guard Richard Hamilton, according to a source close to the situation.
The Pistons will reportedly buy out Hamilton’s remaining contract after he spent nine seasons in Detroit, bringing a championship to the city in 2004. Hamilton, 33, had a rough relationship with former head coach John Kuester and was benched for extended streaks last season. Kuester was fired at the end of the season and replace by Lawrence Frank.
Hamilton averaged 14.1 points per game for the Pistons last season.
