Team officials make their players wait for an offer sheet, not wanting to think they're bidding against themselves. But agent Mark Bartelstein said that wasn't the case with Detroit and his client, point guard Will Bynum , who agreed to a three-year, $10.5 million contract Wednesday. "Joe (Dumars) was great,'' Bartelstein said of the Detroit executive. "A lot of times, teams sit back and wait for an offer sheet when you have a restricted free agent. But he worked with us to get a fair deal. ... That was great.'' Bynum last season had averages of 10.0 points and 4.5 assists as a Pistons key reserve. He has three-season NBA averages of 8.1 points and 3.4 assists. "I've very excited about it,'' Bartelstein said of his client returning to Detroit. "It's a great deal for him.''
