Carl Landry is one of the NBA’s better bigs who is currently coming off the bench. His 21 points in a Hornets victory over the Nuggets came up just four shy of matching the production Denver got from their entire reserve unit. Landry’s offensive output speaks for just how devestating he can be against second-string players, and his impressive driving dunk over Nene says he’s no slouch compared to most opposing starters, either.
Some people feel that Landry’s fall to the floor takes away from the dunk. I think it adds to the nastiness. If a guy can get fouled hard enough to be knocked to the floor and still complete the slam, that’s boss. Big ups to Landry for taking the hit and finishing strong. No flopping here. Honorable mentions to Anthony Randolph, Gerald Henderson, Ed Davis, and Nene.
