Denver Nuggets vs Atlanta Hawks: Denver is still looking to get a win. The Denver Nuggets are in a familiar place so far this season with an 0-3 start. That was exactly their position last season en route to a 57-win season. Unfortunately for the Nuggets, it does not look as though they will repeat that feat this season with the way that they have looked so far. Throw in the fact that the young team is in the midst of learning a new offense under a rookie head coach in Brian Shaw and Denver could be gearing up for a long season. Tonight the Nuggets will welcome the Atlanta Hawks to town for their only appearance at Pepsi Center this season. Atlanta brings a pair of formidable big men with them in Al Horford and Paul Millsap. These two will definitely give the defensively challenged JaVale McGee and Kenneth Faried all they can handle tonight. While the Hawks are by no means world-beaters this season, they are 2-2 and have just enough talent to give the Nuggets some trouble tonight. Here are some things to look for in tonight’s match-up: Will Jordan Hamilton have a repeat performance of his first start of the season after posting 11 points and 4 rebounds on Tuesday against the San Antonio Spurs? How does Denver defend the 3-point shot tonight with sharpshooter Kyle Korver on Atlanta’s roster? Will McGee continue to struggle with foul trouble? Can Timofey Mozgov keep up his hot start as Denver’s best big man thus far? Can the Nuggets avoid their worst start since the 1998-99 season? The Hawks have also not won at Pepsi Center since December 6, 2006 Will Denver turn around their 4th quarter shooting woes (31.7% vs 42.8% in all other periods)? How will Faried respond to remaining in the starting lineup? Did Randy Foye find his 3-point shot against the Spurs? Evan Fournier has 5 points on the season, can he find his scoring touch? Lou Williams and Dennis Schroeder will be out for the Hawks tonight and Jeff Teague will start in his place so the Denver point guards – Ty Lawson, Andre Miller and Nate Robinson should have an advantage Through 3 games the Nuggets are averaging 93.3 points per game after averaging a league best 106.1 points per game last season – can the Denver fans get tacos out of this game? Look for a post-game wrap-up from Jordan Morey. Nuggets win first game of the season, rally past Hawks

Someday, if this head coaching business works out for the Nuggets' Brian Shaw, he might come to some sort of win milestone and an inquiring scribe will ask: Do you still remember your first? Especially given the early season angst and 0-3 Nuggets start that preceded it, his answer almost certainly would be emphatic and affirmative. Shaw came into Thursday night's game looking...
