Found October 20, 2013 on Hardwood Gold Rush:
LA Clippers All-Star Chris Paul torched the Denver Nuggets (2-3) for 40 points in a 118-111 overtime win Saturday.  Evan Fournier and Anthony Randolph each tallied 16 pts for the Nuggets off the bench at The Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The Nuggets had a chance to win at the end of the fourth quarter. Down 104-102 with 22.5 seconds left , Paul drove to the basket and scored with a layup to tie the game.   The Nuggets held on for the last posession.  For the final play, Veteran guard Andre Miller held onto the ball until five seconds remained.  He then passed it to a covered JaVale McGee in the winding seconds.  McGee got blocked, and the Nuggets would score just seven points in OT. Fournier played a great game for the Nuggets. At the half, Fournier led Nuggets scorers with 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-2 3pt).   Miller played well with Fournier in the half-court offense.  Many of Fournier’s open shots came from Miller.  During the Nuggets 9-0 run to open the second quarter, Fournier scored five points–including a 24-foot shot from beyond the arc. Despite his hot start, Fournier saw the same amount of time in the second-half.  The twenty-years-old guard finished with seven rebounds and three assists on top of his points. In his 19 minutes of play, the Nuggets were +19 with Fournier on the floor.  New Nuggets guard Randy Foye got the bulk of minutes at the 2-guard.  In 34 min, Foye finished with 11 pts (4-14 FG), five rbs and five ast. Injuries have plagued the Nuggets this past week. Kenneth Faried and Nate Robinson sat out with hamstring strains against the Clippers.  Forward Darrell Arthur also missed the game with a bruised left quad.   Wilson Chandler, whom Brian Shaw planned to start Saturday, sat on the bench with his hamstring injury. Chandler has participated in practice but not seen any minutes this preseason. In 2012-13, the Nuggets won their series with the Clippers two games to one. They also got a victory against them in the preseason.  This season, the Nuggets face the Clippers Dec. 21, Feb. 23, March 17 and April 25. The Nuggets play the Phoenix Suns at the Pepsi Center in their next preseason game on Wednesday, Oct. 23. JaVale McGee Shows Off Range of ‘Mario Kart’ Sounds With Teammate Evan Fournier (Video)

Here’s we go. JaVale McGee, who sets new marks for weirdness (in a good way) off the court, is still mastering the ins and outs of the NBA game. In at least one other game, though, he has nothing left to prove. McGee and Nuggets teammate Evan Fournier showed off their extensive catalog of Mario Kart noises, from “Okie dokie!” to “Let’s a-go!” Check it out in the Instagram...

JaVale McGee And Evan Fournier Making Mario Kart Noises Is A Thing That Exists

“I’m the best!” (via Getty Image) We already loved Denver Nuggets center JaVale McGee for his ability to climb the invisible ladder and dunk from half-court without jumping forward, but this could catapult him to legendary status. As the headline suggests, McGee and teammate Evan Fournier uploaded a video of themselves making Mario Kart noises. I don’t know why it exists...

Chris Paul drops 40 on Nuggets In Preseason (VIDEO)

Doc Rivers told CP3 “he was nothing” during their first conversation as player and coach, and now Chris Paul is hell bent on proving to Rivers just how good he really is. I’m not sure if it was the powder blue uniform with the sleeves, or the fact that he saw a quality guard in Ty Lawson across from him, but Paul went off on the Nuggets Saturday night. Paul was 13-of-21 shooting...

Clippers trying to escape Lakers shadow... literally

The Los Angeles Clippers have long tried to get out of the Lakers' shadow. They have played in the same building since the 2000 season and are the second team in that famous city in California.
