There have been rumors floating around that Sacramento Kings guard/forward Tyreke Evans was being shopped around, specifically to the New Orleans Pelicans.
If what Ailene Voisin of the Sacramento Bee (via Twitter) reports is true, then Evans, via sign-and-trade, will in fact become a member of the Pelicans.
Specifically, Sacramento will sign then trade Evans to New Orleans for point guard Greveis Vazquez and center Robin Lopez.
Had the Kings opted not go this route, they would have had a three-day window to match the offer sheet, assuming Evans signed the sheet on July 10.
This trade makes plenty of sense as while the Kings do give up Evans, they get some assets as part of the deal.
Speaking of the Pelicans, the rumor had it that shooting guard Eric Gordon was on his way out of The Big Easy.
