dallasnews.com:
Rashad McCants tweeted this morning that he hopes to sign a deal with Dallas soon, but I've been told that isn't in the plans at this point for the Mavs.
McCants is only 25 years old and a career 10-ppg scorer and 37-percent 3-point shooter. But the ex-lottery pick has played on terrible teams and doesn't exactly have a rep as a defensive stopper.
But McCants would have a tough time cracking a shooting guard rotation that features Josh Howard, Jason Terry and J.J. Barea with Matt Carroll filling the role of sweet-shooting benchwarmer.
