Found March 23, 2013 on Red's Army:
It looked like maybe the Celtics would somewhat salvage this road trip tonight when they started the game on a 12-2 run. Unfortunately, it was not to be. An undermanned and visibly frustrated C’s team was no match for the Grizzlies. Memphis dominated this game on all levels tonight: rebounding, scoring in the paint, second-chance points, you get the picture. Boston goes 0-3 on their last major road trip of the season. This was basically a rerun of last night’s game-just substitute Brandan Wright’s name with Jarred Bayless’. Bayless torched Jason Terry (and everyone else) for 30 points. Boston’s one lone bright spot was Paul Pierce who put on a ridiculous display of drives, jumpers and treys. But it didn’t matter. No one else could get any type of significant game going for Boston on offense, and Boston could not stop Memphis on defense. KG was sorely missed on all levels as the Grizz tallied . Give C’s bench some credit-they cut the lead to 2 with 0:21 left and showed the most fight...

Jason Terry returns to Dallas for the first time since leaving Mavericks

Jason Terry will play his first game in Dallas tonight since leaving the Mavericks to join Boston in the offseason. Terry was the second best player on the Mavericks squad that beat Miami for the 2011 championship. While the Dallas native wanted to stay with the Mavericks and even offered the team the chance to match the offer the Celtics made to the Jet, Mark Cuban and his management...

Celtics' Terry back in Dallas, ready for reunion

Jason Terry has returned to Dallas, eagerly anticipating what figures to be a happy one-night reunion for the Mavericks and a longtime fan favorite. Terry and his new team, the Boston Celtics, were set to play Friday night in the arena Terry called home for eight years. He played a critical role in the first NBA title for Dallas two years ago. The veteran guard was known as much...

Pierce wins bet, forces coaches to run sprints

Courtesy WEEI’s Mike Petraglia: Before Monday’s practice at the teams training facility, Boston Celtics captain Paul Pierce wins a wager with head coach Doc Rivers and makes the assistant coaches run wind sprints. Taking part in the running for assistant coaches Tyronn Lue, Armond Hill and Kevin Eastman. Doc Rivers was not forced to take part in the drill. Wind springs? Light...

Video: Pierce wins bet, Celtics coaches run wind sprints

Damn, Tyronn Lue is sucking wind there. It was only a few years ago he was being mentioned as a Celtics back-up point guard candidate. The video is courtesy of Mike Petraglia. Here's what he had to say: Before Monday's practice at the teams training facility, Boston Celtics captain Paul Pierce wins a wager with head coach Doc Rivers and makes the assistant coaches run wind...

Video: KG & Pierce discuss surpassing NBA all-time greats

Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce are now 15th and 20th on the all time NBA scoring list. Watching KG's video, the cold case of the missing magazine pictures from barber shops and convenience stores in South Carolina back in the 80's appears to have been solved as well.

RedsArmy presents Fan Friday #42 : “CelticNation St. Cloud”

Adna is a 20-year old Boston Celtics fan from St. Cloud, Minnesota. I’ve been interacting with her on Twitter for roughly a year, and she is all Celtics, all the time. I asked her a few questions, including just what got her into following the Celtics: I became a Celtics fan in 2001 when I was 9 years old. My aunt lived in Boston and she came to visit my family in Minnesota. When...

Boston Celtics: The Evolution of Jeff Green

The first time that many basketball fans heard the name Jeff Green, it was probably at Georgetown University, when he won Big East Player of the Year in 2007. He was a special athlete and definitely a player who could become an All Star. He was selected 5th overall by the Boston Celtics and was traded to the Seattle Supersonics as a part of the Ray Allen to Boston trade. Alongside...

Where are the Boston Celtics Now? 5 on 5

This has been a crazy last month of basketball for us Boston Celtic' fans, a lot of ups and downs and inconsistency. The writers from Celticslife weigh in. We are doing a 4 on 5 today (like when we used to have to do with Perkins on our team offensively), let's see how we produce. 1. We have just lost four games in a row that we should have won, where are we now? Terry...

Mavs beat Celtics, spoil Terry's return to Dallas

DALLAS (AP) -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 22 points, Shawn Marion had a double-double in his return from a calf injury and the Mavericks spoiled Jason Terry's return to Dallas with a 104-94 victory over the Boston Celtics on Friday night. Terry scored eight in his first game in Dallas since leaving for Boston in free agency. He was the latest key piece the Mavericks decided not to...

Mavericks handle Celtics, 104-94

The Mavs spoiled Jason Terry's homecoming. The Celtics had no answer for Brandan Wright in the post, and his season high 23 points paced the Mavs 104-94 wire to wire victory over Boston.  Wright shot 11-16 from the field, including a number of uncontested dunks.  Dirk Nowitzki also scored 22 for Dallas, and Vince Carter chipped in 17 off the bench. Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett...

Shootaround: In the hangar

Boston Celtics (36-31) vs. Dallas Mavericks (32-36) 8:30 p.m. In some ways, Jason Terry has fit right in with Boston. No, the Celtics are not among the elite in the East anymore (although opponents should still be wary). The season has not quite gone according to plan for Boston. The Playoffs are still going to take place for the Celtics and that is something. Terry...

Celtics Road Woes Continue with 110-106 Loss to the Grizzlies

Just a few random thoughts for tonight's post game wrap up.  First, KG's injury is troubling.  He didn't seem to injure the foot in the game but they said he was walking gingerly afterwards.   It is being described as a foot injury rather than an ankle injury. And the fact that they are going to take an MRI makes it even more worrisome.    I remember back in that...

Celtics Not Compassionate After Courtney Lee Injures Ankle

Celtics’ Doc Rivers and Jason Terry were less than compassionate Friday night when Courtney Lee was carried off the floor by teammates after spraining his ankle. Boston was in the midst of a comeback against Dallas, down just five with under two minutes remaining in the game when Lee went down with an ankle injury on a possession that left O.J. Mayo wide open for a three-pointer...

Underrated Stat of the Night - Grizzlies 3/23

Tonight's 110-106 loss to the Grizzlies was filled with ups and downs. The Celtics got off to nice start, but slipped in the second and third quarters. Their fourth quarter contained a rally that didn't start until about the 6:00 mark. Had it started earlier, they definitely would've won. But it didn't. What's done is done. Tonight's USOTN easily goes to...

The Hangover Continues: Celtics Sluggish In Another Road Defeat

Mavericks 104, Celtics 94 While most basketball fans tuned into the second day of what is sure to be an electrifying NCAA Tournament, the Celtics (36-32) continued to struggle. For the first time since Rajon Rondo tore his ACL on January 27th, this team has lost three straight contests, and they appeared particularly out of sync during Friday night’s loss in Dallas. Boston is now...
