Found March 17, 2012 on Red's Army:
Kenneth Faried showed everyone why he's called the "Manimal" tonight. Faried had 8 boards in his first 8 minutes, and 11 in the first half. He finished with a game-high 16 boards, and had more offensive rebounds (6) than the entire Celtics' squad's 4. Denver had 17 rebounds alone in the 1st quarter, and destroyed the older, slower C's on the glass 46-27 overall and 14-4 offensively. Denver is a deep team with a talented bench. The Celtics' lack of transition defense led to a flurry of Denver breakaway dunks and layups. Denver had 30 points off layups & dunks thru 3 quarters.  Just a solid offensive game up-and-down the roster for Denver. That's why the are 1st in the NBA in points-scored. Danilo Gallinari led the Nuggs with 20, and Faried put-in 18. Denver has a great bench-not superstar names, but guys with various skills that all contribute. They all chipped-in tonight; Al Harrington, a serious-contender for 6th...

Denver Nugget Danilo Gallinari may have unseated Celtics' opponent Rajon Rondo for the best behind-the-back pass of the NBA season. Wow. Every time you check your email, think -- gotta check... Full story at Bob's Blitz ~ http://www.bobsblitz.com

Chandler agrees to to five-year deal

The Denver Nuggets have brought back Wilson Chandler, agreeing to a five-year deal worth nearly $37 million with the versatile forward. Chandler played overseas for Zhejiang Guangsha of the Chinese Basketball Association during the lockout, averaging nearly 27 points and 12 rebounds in 32 games. Once the NBA season started back up, Chandler was ineligible to return until his team...

Denver Nuggets close to locking up Wilson Chandler after dealing Nene

The Denver Nuggets traded Nene yesterday, and in return they received JaVale McGee from the Washington Wizards. But, what they maybe also got out of the deal, was the financial space necessary to lock Wilson Chandler up long-term. Chandler had been in China hooping away in anonymity as the Lockout ended and the NBA season began, but now he's back. Sources say he's about to...

Comments from the other side - Nuggets 3/17

Another loss but at least they tried in this one.  But it also highlighted the need to get a rebounder.  If only Kenneth Faried had a twin brother that likes green.  Bring back Leon.  At least he boxes out and goes after rebounds.  I think the Celtics have forgotten how to box out.  Where's Cliff Ray when you need him?  Oh yeah, out in Sacramento. :(   Another game where...

Danilo Gallinari’s pass might be play of the year

We have seem some great dunks this year, and buncha buzzer beaters, but none of them are as pretty to watch as this pass from Denver Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari We see behind the back passes all the time inside the paint, but rarely do we see one near the sideline that travels all the way back under the basket. It was pure precision, and is definitely the assist of the year...

C's interested in former Laker and journeyman scrub Ronny Turiaf

#CelticsTalk: You can add recently-waived Ronny Turiaf to the growing list of players that's on the #Celtics radar. — A. Sherrod Blakely (@SherrodbCSN) March 18, 2012 Please no. This former Laker sucked when he was getting clowned in the 2008 finals by the Celtics. Now he's a shell of his limited former self. Plus he's always injured and he has a bad ticker. Let the...

POTD 3/15/12: Kevin Durant on Al Harrington

Kevin Durant has become the Nuggets’ worst nightmare.  In less than five seasons he’s already lit his division rivals up for a new career high on three different occasions.  He gave them 37 in his rookie campaign, 51 about a month ago, and 41 in the playoffs (twice).  On top of that, his Thunder have eliminated the Nuggets from the playoffs in a brief five-game series and...

Dunk of the night: Kevin Durant’s Dunk on Nuggets Al Harrington

The Oklahoma City Thunder faced off against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night. Kevin Durant had a nasty dunk over Al Harrington. The Thunder took this one. I’m hoping the two meet up in the playoffs.   video via Hoops Mixtape
