The Los Angeles Clippers lost their third game in a row last night, falling to the Hornets in Chris Paul's first game in the Big Easy since he was traded last December. They've now lost six of their last ten and haven't looked great in many of their recent victories. Wednesday night, Grantland.com Editor & Chief (and Clippers season ticket holder) Bill Simmons tweeted he heard that head coach Vinny Del Negro was on super thin ice and that a blowout loss to the Thunder wouldn't help anyone. That happened and ESPN's Chris Broussard wrote that Del Negro had in fact lost the team.
"Most of the players, according to sources, believe it's time for a change. They cite the uncertainty of Del Negro's rotation as a major problem. With the front office adding several players to the roster throughout this shortened season -- Reggie Evans, Kenyon Martin, Bobby Simmons and Nick Young -- plus Eric Bledsoe's return from injury in February, players' m...

Whomever said basketball isn't a contact sport is absolutely insane.Heck, every once in a while, you see hits...or fouls that would make hockey players blush. This is one of those. Last night, New Orleans Hornet forward Jason Smith was bound and determined to not let Blake Griffin of the LA Clippers do what he does best on the fastbreak...dunk the ball. The result is...well...shall...
YOU, FLOCK OF SEAGULLS
Previously on Outside the Boxscore, we mentioned that actor Samuel L. Jackson was going to be doing the player introductions for last night's Clippers/Hornets game. Well, the video is out and here it is in all its awesome glory:
Los Angeles -- Coming off a tough 0-3 road trip that had produced whispers of coach Vinny Del Negro's demise, the Los Angeles Clippers turned things around with a convincing 101-85 blowout win at home over the Memphis Grizzlies in front of 19,060 at Staples Center.

During the fourth quarter of last night's NBA game in New Orleans, Hornets forward Jason Smith found a way to stop Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin from dunking on him on a fast break: Smith body-checked Griffin to the floor like a hockey player.
Smith was given a flagrant level 2 foul by the officials, which resulted in an automatic ejection from the game....
How do you top Will Ferrell's hilarious player introductions prior to the Bulls-Hornets game in February?
The truth is, you can't.
But if you are Samuel L. Jackson, the best way to try - channel your inner-Pulp Fiction.
Prior to the Clippers-Hornets game in New Orleans on Thursday night, the actor became the second guest superstar to introduce the starting lineups at...

The Los Angeles Clippers rallied around head coach Vinny Del Negro with a 101-85 win over the Memphis Grizzlies Saturday.Del Negro has been sitting on the hot seat following the Clippers’ recent three-game road losing skid. Rumors were swirling that the team was going to fire Del Negro, who has little head coaching experience."Somebody kind of told me what was being said about...
In his first trip back to New Orleans since the Hornets traded him in December, Chris Paul received a somewhat warm reception from those in attendance for the Hornets’ contest with the Clippers on Wednesday. Yeah, okay, great. How sentimental of them. But did you see who announced the starting lineups? None other than Samuel “I’ve Had It with These Motha-f-ckin Snakes” L...
Bobby Simmons has played 13 games for the Clippers this season.
It would appear that some NBA players have finally gotten tired of Blake Griffin's flashy dunks and celebrations. Jason Smith, a member of the New Orleans Hornets, took out some frustration on Griffin on Thursday night. As the Clippers were on a fastbreak, Smith raced to catch Griffin and body-checked him to the ground. It was obvious that the hit was illegal and totally unnecessary...
Although, many don’t hold much merit to Bill Simmons breaking NBA rumors, he was one of the first to leak out the Chris Paul to the Clippers. Essentially, will CP3 pull a Melo??
The Los Angeles Clippers have been in a funk lately. A funkthat has been in effect for the entire month of March as the team has gone 6-9 anddropped down to sixth place in the Western Conference. The Clippers haven’t scored 100 points in the last ninegames and were held under 90 points for four of those games. Needless to saythey went 3-6 during that span. They fared better in...
