It seemed just like last week when Delonte West expressed interest to play for the Dallas Maverick’s D-League affiliate to help attract the attention of some NBA teams. Unlike Allen Iverson, Delonte West actually signed a contract for the D-League, consequently leaving a line of sources confused as to why this happened. Maybe he found interest from another team? Here is more from NBA.com:
HANG TIME SOUTHWEST – Delonte West has pulled an Allen Iverson and decided that the D-League isn’t for him.
Iverson, though, never actually signed a contract. He simply turned down an offer earlier this week to play for the Texas Legends, the affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks, as a means to help attract the attention of NBA teams. West did indeed sign a contract last week to play for the Legends, who are co-owned by Mavs president of basketball operations Donnie Nelson.
According to a source with knowledge of West’s thinking, the troubled combo guard has decided not to play in the D-...

Have The Memphis Grizzlies Made The Statement We Are Not Committed To Winning By Trading Rudy Gay?
Why would the team trade Rudy Gay? He was one of the Memphis Grizzlies best scorers. Is the team not committed to winning? It comes down to money, Memphis is in the midst of a money make over and they are now making decisions based on saving a buck and not winning. Gay was averaging 17.2 points a game and he could rebound the ball too. Now he will be playing his basketball north...

Tayshaun Prince scores 14 in 32 minutes off Grizzlies' bench in debut
Tayshaun Prince came off the bench in his Memphis Grizzlies debut and made his presence felt in 32 minutes. Prince hit 7-of-11 shots for 14 points. He also collected a rebound, three assists and a block. A solid start in Memphis, and I expect the former Piston to slide into the starting lineup after a few games.
