With the team battling a number of injuries to it's biggest stars, even the most iconic Laker thinks the team is dead in the water.
Los Angeles Lakers' guard Steve Blake has stepped up in a big way in the absence of Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant. Unfortunately for the Lakers, the injury bug has bit again, as Blake suffered a hamstring injury during last night's Game 2 loss to the San Antonio Spurs.Blake told reporters -- including Dave McMenamin of ESPN Los Angeles -- that he's not surprised that...
This Los Angeles Lakers without Kobe Bryant, are really struggling for points and only three players have been consistent so far in the four games they have played without him. These three players are, Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol and surprisingly, Steve Blake. But the question must be asked, why are they not going inside on every possession and why are Howard and Gasol not taking 40...
After the disappointing performance in Game One, the Los Angeles Lakers were back at practice yesterday making adjustments for Game 2 tonight. Following practice, Steve Nash and Steve Blake took a few moments to chat with the media regarding tonight's contest against the San Antonio Spurs.
For Nash, a balance needs to be found in what his mind thinks his body can do...
At this point in time, most people roll their eyes when they hear about an athlete or an entertainer moonlighting as a rapper. We’ve seen the shtick before and the output has been largely underwhelming. Shaq actually had some successful and somewhat decent songs back in the day (Shaq Diesel anyone?), but the list is short. “I got money, girls, clothes, and cars, and I’m better...
It appears the Los Angeles Lakers will trot out the fearsome duo of Darius Morris and Andrew Goudelock Friday night for Game 3 against the San Antonio Spurs. Hey, at least it’s a home game!

Dwight Howard is the gift that keeps on giving.
According to a story courtesy Pro Basketball Talk, Howard, who finished 14th in Defensive Player of the Year voting, said that he found it amusing that Memphis Grizzlies center and brother of his teammate, Marc Gasol, won the award.
The news caused Dwight Howard to say “it’s funny,” but he wasn’t offering his signature smile...
The San Antonio Spurs took a 2 game lead on the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night. Parker had a strong night, Duncan and Leonard had 16 a piece. Steve Blake and Dwight Howard led the Lakers with 16 points each.
How the Spurs won:
Tony Parker played a great game in which Steve Blake was all over him. Parker finished the game with 28 points, 7 assist and 4 rebounds, but it wasn’t...
Commonly appreciated for being 6'10" and one of the best three point shooters in the NBA, Bonner's making his money against the Los Angeles Lakers not just from the work he's doing above the arc, but also the work he's putting in down low against Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol.
He played sparingly for most of the regular season, but with Boris Diaw out and...
A weird thing happened in Game 1, the Lakers (0-1) had trouble making baskets instead of preventing the other team from scoring. Usually, it's the other way around.
What's even stranger is the scoring efficiency for both teams. The Lakers actually had a better percentage in shooting at 41.1% versus 37.6% for the San Antonio Spurs (1-0). Of course, the purple and gold...
A mere seven-something minutes into tonight’s Lakers-Spurs matchup, Dwight Howard took it upon himself to connect on a monster dunk over the head of an unexpectant Tim Duncan (after receiving a stellar assist from Steve Blake, of course).
Check out this slam in the video below..can you say vintage Dwight Howard??
A headache for his coach, Kobe Bryant's tweets during a Lakers
playoff game were a hit at the NBA office.
Mike D’Antoni has been swimming upstream against the ire of Los Angeles Lakers fans all season.
He wasn’t the popular choice to replace Mike Brown, who was fired after five games this season, and the Lakers faithful have appointed him the scapegoat for everything that has gone wrong for the franchise this season, everything except for the untimely passing of Dr. Jerry Buss.
