Report: Nuggets rookie R.J. Hampton expected to enter NBA's health and safety protocols

It appears the Denver Nuggets will not finish the first half of the season with their full roster available.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, rookie guard R.J. Hampton is expected to enter the NBA's health and safety protocols. Additional contact tracing is ongoing.

Hampton is averaging 2.5 points, two rebounds and 0.5 assists per game while shooting 41.4% from the field and 27.8% from deep. The Nuggets selected the 20-year-old with the 24th overall pick in the 2020 draft.

Denver will take on the Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers before the All-Star break. The Nuggets are eighth in the Western Conference with an 18-15 record.
