Inactive Dallas Mavericks forward Lamar Odom's NBA season ended a bit prematurely, and that now seems to be the same fate for his reality show. Odom and his wife, Khloe Kardashian, are ending their "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" spin-off show, "Khloe and Lamar," so Odom can concentrate on basketball to revive his career, TMZ.com reported on Monday. The Mavericks acquired Odom before the start of the season, but the two parties never seemed like a fit for each other. Dallas gave up an 8.9 million trade exception to the Lakers for the reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year. Dallas still retains the rights to Odom and has the option of trading him at the end of the season. Sources told TMZ that Odom feels he needs to focus on only one project and that he has hired trainers to help him get ready for next season. Fans and media in Dallas quickly grew impatient with Odom's play, often criticizing his lack of effort on the court. Odom gained the label of being lazy, at least in the view of the fans, and things took a particularly ugly turn on March 21, when he was booed in Dallas while playing his old team, the Lakers. Odom was placed on the team's inactive list on April 9th after averaging career lows of 6.6 points and 4.2 rebounds during his 50-game stint. He also shot a career-low 35.2 percent from the field.
