According to the Chicago Tribune, the San Antonio Spurs are one of six teams interested in Chicago Bulls assistant coach Ron Adams who will not be returning to the Bulls for the 2013-2014 season. Coach's corner: Since general manager Gar Forman didn't renew Ron Adams' contact, league sources said the veteran assistant coach has drawn interest from the Thunder, Spurs, Celtics, Pacers, Clippers and Nets. The Bulls remain unlikely to replace Adams on staff. Starting with head coach Gregg Popovich, the Spurs' coaching staff also consists of assistant coaches Brett Brown, Ime Udoka (who is currently coaching the Spurs' Summer League team), and the newly hired Jim Boylen from the Indiana Pacers. Adams has a history with the Spurs as he was an assistant from 1992-1994. He's also had coaching stints as an assistant with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Milwaukee Bucks, and Philadelphia 76ers in his lengthy career. Adams is coming off time working with Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau, who is known for his defensive principles and ability to produce competitive teams with or without their stars. With the Philadelphia 76ers still being the only team without a head coach, there's a chance Brown could be called upon for the position.
