Nuggets’ Danilo Gallinari was carted off the court Thursday night after a non-contact left knee injury against the Dallas Mavericks. According to multiple reports, the fifth-year forward likely has a torn ACL.
Gallinari is scheduled to have an MRI Friday, but the initial exam suggests a torn ACL as a “ligament was loose,” according to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski.
According to Benjamin Hochman of the Denver Post, sources say Gallinari heard a pop in his knee and thinks he has a torn ACL. If Denver’s second leading scorer (16.3 ppg) does indeed have a torn ACL, it would be a huge blow to the third-seeded Nuggets heading into the playoffs.
