New Orleans Hornets shooting guard Eric Gordon will be out of action for four to six weeks because of ongoing problems with his right knee, multiple media outlets reported Friday. Gordon told Yahoo! Sports that the prognosis was reached after he received a second opinion on Friday. He is not expected to need surgery, but the team has not confirmed the reports. Hornets general manager Dell Demps told the New Orleans Times-Picayune through spokesman Harold Kaufman that team officials are still gathering information on Gordon's situation. They said that a prognosis on Gordon would be speculation at this point. Gordon had arthroscopic surgery last February and missed all but nine games last season, when he averaged 20.6 points. The Hornets matched the Phoenix Suns' four-year, $58 million offer this summer to keep Gordon when he was a restricted free agent.
