The Milwaukee Bucks plan to sign restricted free-agent point guard Jeff Teague to a four-year, 32 million offer sheet, according to multiple reports. Once the offer sheet is officially signed, Atlanta would have three days to match the contract or let Teague go to the Bucks. Teague sent out a cryptic Tweet late Wednesday night: "It's a blessing all I can do is thank god". Teague, 25, averaged 14.6 points and 7.2 assists per game while shooting 45.1 percent from the field and 35.9 percent on 3-pointers last season for the Atlanta Hawks. Drafted by the Hawks with the 19th overall pick in the 2009 draft after his sophomore year at Wake Forest, Teague played sparingly his first two seasons in the NBA. Stuck behind veteran point guard Mike Bibby along with Joe Johnson and Jamal Crawford, Teague averaged just 10.1 and 13.8 minutes per game in his first two seasons. With Bibby gone, then-Hawks coach Larry Drew handed the reigns over to Teague for the 2011-12 season. The 6-foot-2 point guard averaged 12.6 points and 4.9 assists per game. Now the head coach of the Bucks, Drew is trying to bring his point guard with him to Milwaukee. Recent reports have indicated Milwaukee could sign-and-trade Brandon Jennings or Monta Ellis for Teague, but nothing appears imminent on that front. Jennings, 23, has been Milwaukee's starting point guard for the past four seasons. If Atlanta decides not to match, Jennings' tenure with the Bucks would more than likely be over.
