One report says the New York Knicks want Phil Jackson as their next head coach and may put up big money to lure him in.
According to the Racine Journal-Times, the Knicks are ready to offer Jackson a large contract if the team is knocked out of the NBA playoffs in the first round.
If the Knicks don't advance beyond the first round of the playoffs, I'm hearing they'll make a major -- repeat, major -- push to lure legendary coach Phil Jackson out of retirement. With money being no object, the scuttlebutt is the Knicks brass may offer the 'Zen Master' a four-year, $50 million deal.
Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire have both said they support Knicks coach Mike Woodson and would like him to remain in New York for future seasons.
Speculation and rumors will continue to fly about the Knicks going after big name coaches during the offseason.

Report suggests Lamar Odom never got past Phil Jackson’s retirement
When Lamar Odom’s career comes to a close, we could very well look back on the 2011-2012 season as the year when it all fell apart. Since being traded from the Lakers to the Mavericks, Odom has been a headcase. He was a complete non-factor in Dallas until the team finally decided to part ways with him and pay out the remainder of his contract. To this point, it has been a well...

Carmelo Endorses Woodson Returning In 12-13
Carmelo Anthony would like to see Mike Woodson return as head coach of the Knicks for the 12-13 season.
Carmelo would love Mike Woodson to coach him more than he did D'Antoni
The cynical side of me thinks that of course Carmelo Anthony is going to say publicly that he loves Mike Woodson because he doesn't want to be labeled a coach killer after already getting one coach fired earlier this season. The more understanding, and less judgemental, side of me thinks that maybe Mike Woodson is just a better fit for this Knicks team moving forward though too...

Knicks-Bobcats Preview
The New York Knicks don't seem overly concerned about where they start their postseason regardless of the outcome of their regular-season finale.
The Charlotte Bobcats, however, have plenty of incentive to win Thursday night to avoid capping an utterly miserable and potentially record-setting season of futility.
For the Knicks (35-30), a victory would ensure them the No. 7...
