Rick Fox Believes The Lakers Can Win A Championship If They Trade For Buddy Hield And Myles Turner
Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Lakers had a subpar 2021-22 season. Instead of competing for the championship, they went 33-49 and missed the play-in tournament. There's no doubt that this was a disappointing outcome.

It has been clear from this summer that the Los Angeles Lakers are determined to avoid the same outcome as last season. They have been busy revamping their roster around LeBron James and Anthony Davis, focusing on defense and athleticism to fit coach Darvin Ham's new philosophy.

Rick Fox has recently revealed that he believes that the Los Angeles Lakers can get another ring by making moves for Buddy Hield, Myles Turner, and Patrick Beverley. Since the Los Angeles Lakers already acquired Patrick Beverley, all that is left for them to do in Fox's championship scenario is to get Buddy Hield and Myles Turner from the Indiana Pacers.

How Do The Lakers Get Another Ring? Buddy Hield, Myles Turner & Patrick Beverley

There is no doubt that Buddy Hield and Myles Turner would improve the Los Angeles Lakers chances of potentially winning a championship. Myles Turner is well-known as a stout rim protector who also has some floor spacing capabilities, while Buddy Hield is an elite 3PT shooter that can provide supplementary scoring behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Of course, there could be some obstacles to that deal potentially happening. It was previously reported that the Los Angeles Lakers don't want to give up two future first-round picks to acquire Buddy Hield and Myles Turner from the Indiana Pacers in exchange for Russell Westbrook. The Pacers will likely want some form of draft compensation to make any trade with the Lakers, but we'll see if the Lakers are able to avoid giving up two picks if the deal does happen.

Hopefully, we see the Los Angeles Lakers have a good season, whether the trade for Buddy Hield and Myles Turner happens or not. They are clearly a better squad now, and we'll see how well they do next year.
