Ricky Rubio proved last night why he's known as the most creative passer in the NBA.  Check out the video below of Rubio tossing a pass between his legs through two defenders to Lou Amundson.  Sadly Lou couldn't convert the basket to top it all off, but you can't blame Rubio for his crappy teammate. The Timberwolves went on to get crushed 106-84 by the OKC Thunder.  Looks like Minnesota is pretty desperate to get all-star center Kevin Love back in the lineup from his fractured right hand. Timberwolves Reject Trade Offer For Rudy Gay

Two-and-a-half years later, Gay is readily available — mostly because the Grizzlies, barring a trade of either him or another high-priced player, will be in luxury tax purgatory. So, this is Kahn’s chance to land a player he has long coveted. But according to a league source, he turned down a trade proposal from Memphis for Gay recently. In fact, the source insists Kahn said...

Wolves 3-point shooting worst in league

MINNEAPOLIS This is bad. Epically bad, in fact. Ugly bad. Head-shakingly bad. Tied for 21th-worst all-time bad. If you haven't guessed it yet, I'm referring to the Timberwolves' 3-point shooting this season. As a team, they're shooting a collective 30.1 percent from long range, which is a resounding worst in the NBA and, among teams all-time that have attempted more...

Wolves might require desperate measures

NEW ORLEANS It was just a joke, really. Terry Porter wasn't serious when he pondered the notion of the player-coach before Friday's loss in New Orleans. He compared himself to Bill Russell, after all, the guy who won two championships as a player-coach in Boston in 1968 and 1969. Terry Porter is no Bill Russell, not as this stand-in coach and certainly not in his playing...

Timberwolves make fan's dream come true

MINNEAPOLIS Cody Metz looks like any other 16-year-old Timberwolves fan. Sitting courtside while the team warmed up Tuesday for its game against the Hawks at the Target Center, Metz had the requisite jersey and awestruck smile. He was this close to Ricky Rubio, to Derrick Williams. He could have been hit by an errant basketball, for that matter. Of course he was a little overwhelmed...
