James Harden missed Monday's game with an ankle injury, but he returned to practice yesterday.  Unfortunately, Jeremy Lin suffered his own ankle injury at practice and will be evaluated today.  Neither injury was serious, and if Lin has to miss time, it is not expected to be very much time.According to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle, Harden is expected to return tonight.  He tweeted about Harden's return to practice yesterday:Rockets guard James Harden practicing today; should be able to return from sprained ankle tomorrow vs. Wizards.— Jonathan Feigen (@Jonathan_Feigen) December 11, 2012During that practice though, Jeremy Lin rolled his ankle, but he was able to get up and walk off the court under his own power.  Feigen says Lin's injury came with just five minutes left in practice when Lin tried to make a cut.  He will be a game-time decision tonight.Harden, since being traded to the Rockets, has shown flashes of greatness.  Now that he has a full-time starting role, Harden has been able to show off his skills on a more regular basis.  He is averaging 24.7 points per game - the highest average of his career. Lin, while not quite as hyped up as he was in New York, has been solid for the Rockets.  He is averaging 11.4 points per game and 6.1 assists per game.  He still turns the ball over on occasion, but he has lowered his turnovers per game ratio compared with last season. Rockets guard Harden out against Spurs

Houston Rockets guard James Harden missed Monday night's game against the San Antonio Spurs with a sprained right ankle. Harden was injured in the first half Saturday night against Dallas, but remained in the game and finished with 39 points. The Rockets had hoped he would be able to play against the Spurs, and coach Kevin McHale still wasn't sure if he'd be available...

Spurs overcome Lin's 38 points, top Rockets in OT

HOUSTON -- Perhaps this was a special, limited engagement of Linsanity. Rockets guard Jeremy Lin matched his career high of 38 points, but Houston could not overcome the San Antonio Spurs' bevy of sharpshooters, falling 134-126 in overtime Monday night at Toyota Center. Guard Gary Neal paced San Antonio (18-4) with a career-high 29 points, and Tony Parker notched his first...

Harden's Iso Shooting Percentage Down To 25 Percent From 45

As the focal point of the Rockets' offense this season, James Harden is shooting 25 percent on roughly four shots per game.

Jeremy Lin, Houston Rockets Sing Awful Renditions of ‘The Dreidal Song’ (Video)

Jordan Farmar may be at least one example of an NBA player to suit up in the Israeli Super League, but overall there aren’t many Jewish players in professional basketball. Perhaps that’s why it looks like the Houston Rockets need to do a little brushing up on the melody and lyrics of “I have a Little Dreidel” — otherwise known as “The Dreidel Song.” Apparently someone...

Lin lurking in All-Star vote

LeBron James and Kobe Bryant are the leading vote-getters, while Jeremy Lin has a chance to bring Linsanity to the NBA All-Star game. Lin was running third among Western Conference guards behind Bryant (639,419 votes) and Chris Paul (353,603) when the NBA released the first All-Star balloting update of the season Thursday. Lin was a little more than 55,000 votes behind Paul as he...

Harden's return sparks Rockets past Wizards

HOUSTON -- Rockets guard James Harden returned from a one-game injury hiatus and provided the Houston Rockets with a scoring punch that, considering the opponent, few anticipated would be so sorely needed. With the lowly Washington Wizards refusing to relent on the heels of their first road win, Tuesday night in New Orleans, the Rockets struggled before pulling out an unsightly...

Tony Parker sees some of himself in Jeremy Lin

The San Antonio Spurs survived a shootout of the highest order Monday night, beating the Houston Rockets 134-126 in overtime.  With James Harden out with a sprained ankle, the key match up of the game was shaping up to be Tony Parker and Jeremy Lin.  They did not disappoint.  Parker finished with 27 points, 12 assists and 12 rebounds, his first career triple double.  Lin had...

Rockets 99, Wizards 93

James Harden scored 31 points to lift the Houston Rockets to a 99-93 victory over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night. After suffering a sprained ankle last Saturday against Dallas and missing Monday night's loss to San Antonio, Harden returned to lead the Rockets to their first victory under coach Kevin McHale in more than a month. The Wizards threatened late in the...

Wizards passed on Harden

James Harden has already proven that he is capable of success outside of Oklahoma City. Before he was traded to the Houston Rockets, there were worries that Harden was just a product of a system, playing opposite two of the best players in the game and he would flounder if he had to carry a team. The Rockets are not blowing away the competition by any means, but at just a game...

The New NBA Season And Great Expectations, Dec. 11, 2012

Well about one quarter into the new season and  a few observations can be made. For one thing, it looks like those big deals bringing Steve Nash and Dwight Howard to the Lakers have been a little less than successful. There were two good reasons to be a little doubtful of the initial rush to claim new Laker superpower status. One, there's the matter of age. The Lakers are getting...

Boston Celtics Weekly Preview

The Celtics are sitting at 11-9 on the season, putting them in fourth place in a very competitive Atlantic Division. It’s time to take a look at their upcoming opponents this week to see if they can build up some momentum. With the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers all playing sound basketball, the Celtics can no longer afford to slack off during the regular...
