TEAMS: Houston Rockets, Orlando Magic, Sacramento Kings
In an attempt to stockpile draft picks that they can hopefully exchange for superstar help, the Houston Rockets have traded Chase Budinger to the Timberwolves in exchange for the No. 18 overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft.
The Rockets now possess the No. 14, 16 and 18 picks and are rumored to be targeting Orlando Magic center, Dwight Howard.
The Rockets may still look to trade up and gain access to a high pick, such as the Sacramento Kings 5th overall slot. Point guard, Kyle Lowry, shooting guard, Kevin Martin and center Samuel Dalembert are also rumored to be pawns in Houston’s pursuit of star player.
It has also been rumored that the Rockets would inquire about Josh Smith if they are unable to work out a deal with the Magic for Howard.
This should prove to be an exciting couple of days.
