Yesterday evening NBA fans worldwide got the best news so far regarding the lockout and, in a case of sheer awkwardness, it happened by accident thanks in large part to Knicks Union Rep Roger Mason Jr. Mason sent out a tweet to fellow Knicks player Amar’e Stoudemire yesterday that read, ” Looking like a season. How U”, and then immediately deleted it. Mason claimed that his twitter account was hacked and that no further news about the lockout is available at this time.
However many have speculated about the tweet saying that in fact the public tweet was supposed to be a direct message sent to Amar’e Stoudemire rather than a public message for everyone to see. A short time after this whole ordeal happened, Amar’e Stoudemire came out publicly saying, “I’m hearing good things about upcoming labour negotiations.” Could this whole thing just be a huge coincidence that somehow in a way makes some sort of sense?
