Yogi Berra is widely regarded as one of the greatest catchers in baseball history. In fact, according to the win shares formula developed by geek Bill James, Berra is the greatest catcher of all time. He won three league MVP awards and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1973.Unfortunately, or, well, fortunately, Berra's linguistic ability was not quite on the same level as his baseball ability. As you no doubt know, the former Yankee was well known for amusing non-sequiturs that are termed "Yogi-isms."
