With just under 5 minutes in Wednesday night’s Pacers-Blazers game at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Roy Hibbert fouled rookie Damian Lillard causing a decent sized laceration on his right elbow. According to the official rules of the NBA, the officials can suspend the game for a maximum of 30 seconds for treatment, and after that time the player must be substituted out of the game for further assistance. The Pacers were clinging onto a 6-point lead at home, and Hibbert knew he couldn’t afford to check out of the game, which is why he went through great lengths to hide the blood on his jersey -hiking his shorts abnormally high to hide it from officials:
