Roy Hibbert sad face Background: Roy Hibbert, he of the Indiana Pacers, said to Yahoo! Sports' Marc J. Spears that he wil be the best center in the NBA one day. Apparently, this means he does not realize that Dwight Howard, Marc Gasol, Greg Monroe, Anderson Varejao, Andrew Bynum, Kevin Love, Brook Lopez, Al Horford, etc. are all centers in the NBA right now and are pretty close to him in age. Of course, this means all of them -- all arguably better than Hibbert -- will be standing in Roy's way on his quest to be the best center in the league right now, let along a two-time all star. So, yeah, he is probably never going to be the best center in the NBA, ever. The Charge: Roy Hibbert has gone crazy. The Reasoning for Hibbert (from Spears' story): 'People said I wouldn't be in the NBA,' said Hibbert, the highest-paid Pacer at $13.8 million this season. 'People said I wouldn't be a starting center, this, that and the other. I just prove p...

It's not often that we get a family affair in the NBA but for this season at least, the Indiana Pacers have two Hansbrough brothers on their team.During tonight's Pacers/Cavaliers game, Ben Hansbrough unfortunately got hit in the face by Cavaliers forward Tristan Thompson.Watch as his older brother Tyler comes to aid and starts to jaw with Thompson:

Tyler Hansbrough Has His Brother's Back (VIDEO)

In case you didn't know, Tyler Hansbrough's little brother Ben plays on the Pacers. He recently got promoted to back-up point guard over D.J Augustin after Augustin struggled for the first month in limited minutes. Bens getting an opportunity to show the Pacers that he can co-exist not only with this second unit but his brother as well.  Ben is lucky that out of all...

The NBA prepares itself for Ben Hansbrough

Let's face it, it's now only going to be a matter of time before the Indiana Pacers capture their maiden NBA title, because coach Frank Vogel has announced that Ben Hansbrough, the baby brother of Tyler "Psycho-T" Hansbrough, is about to become the Pacers' back-up point guard. Starting (well, coming off the bench) tonight in their game against the Cavaliers...

Pacers’ Lance Stephenson Involved In Minor Car Accident

Pacers guard Lance Stephenson is “fine,” a team spokesman said, following his involvement in a minor two-vehicle traffic accident Monday evening. “He’s practicing today,” said David Benner, the team spokesman. Police ticketed the driver of the other vehicle for driving without a license, according to an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department report. The basketball...

Russell Westbrook blocks Roy Hibbert's dunk attempt (Video)

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook displayed his impressive athleticism with a clean block of a dunk attempt by Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert during the fourth quarter of Sunday's NBA game at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. The block is more impressive given that Russell stands only 6-foot-3, nearly a foot shorter than Hibbert, who stands 7-foot-2. Video...

George Karl’s Reaction To JaVale McGee’s Play In New York (GIF)

JaVale McGee followed up his near perfect play against the Indiana Pacers last week, with an abysmal performance in New York that — for all intents and purposes — cost Denver the game. Well, at least one of the things. Check out George Karl’s reaction:The post George Karl’s Reaction To JaVale McGee’s Play In New York (GIF) appeared first on The NBA Mistress.

Tyler Hansbrough Defends Little Brother Ben Hansbrough After Elbow (Video)

The Indiana Pacers have both the Hansbrough brothers??  Honestly I had no idea.  Anyway, the Pacers beat the Cavaliers last night 96-81 and little brother Ben Hansbrough took an elbow to the face from forward Tristan Thompson. Big bro Tyler didn't like that and got up in Thompson's face and had a few words for him.  After a few seconds of screaming the two were separated...

18-0 stretch pushes Pacers past Cavaliers

INDIANAPOLIS -- It took nearly a full half for the Indiana Pacers to play the way they expected to while facing one of the worst teams in the NBA. When they found their form, the Pacers were off and running. Indiana used an 18-0 run that stretched from the end of the second quarter into the third quarter to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 96-81 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Wednesday...

Pacers 96, Cavaliers 81

Russell Westbrook Stomps On Roy Hibbert’s Soul With This Block

The Thunder took down the Pacers 104-93 on Sunday, but Russell Westbrook did much more than that with just one block. Westbrook met the 7′ 2″, 280 lbs Roy Hibbert at the rim and let him know he was not welcome. Westbrook stuffed a Hibbert dunk attempt with a ridiculous amount of enthusiasm. The result was the loss of all self-esteem and balance for Hibbert. [Bleacher Report...

Russell Westbrook Big Boys Roy Hibbert for Block of the Night (Video)

Russell Westbrook got up last night.  He earned the block of the night against Pacers center Roy Hibbert.  Hibbert stands nearly a foot taller than Westbrook(6'3) at 7'2.  This speaks a lot for the ups that Westbrook has as a point guard.  Check out the block of the night in the video below. The Indiana Pacers didn't stand much of a chance against the first...

Point Guard blocks a 7-Footer

Point guards shouldn’t be allowed to block 7-foot centers but most point guards aren’t Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook. In the Thunder’s 104-93 win over the Pacers Westbrook blocked the 7’2” Roy Hibbert. Hibbert was going up for a dunk but Westbrook denied him. Westbrook is one if not the best athlete in the NBA; he is just so explosive. Follow me on twitter @ScottBasketball ...
