Russell Westbrook's stint in Los Angeles has been very turbulent. The former MVP has not played up to the mark since arriving in LA, and the Lakers fanbase has let him hear it. On occasion, these comments and trolling have gone overboard. And Westbrook's brother Raynard thinks the organization is at fault.

In a now-deleted Tweet by a family friend, it was noted that Magic Johnson asked Russell Westbrook to take accountability for his actions despite him holding himself responsible for the bad form. On top of that, the Los Angeles Lakers had done everything in their power to not let Russ be himself, something that he suggested isn't talked about. Westbrook's brother Ray liked and retweeted this in agreement.

"Magic got on national tv and said Russ need to take accountability two days after Russ took accountability, again. As he’s done throughout the season. The coaching staff and players have made every effort for Russ NOT to be Russ. Let’s talk about it tho. "

The Tweet referenced Magic Johnson calling Westbrook out, a sentiment many fans of the Lakers echoed. Westbrook has been on the receiving end of major criticism from fans and analysts alike, and Johnson, a lifelong Laker, decided to speak out about it.

Westbrook noted that the criticism has become a bit much, explaining that he doesn't even want to bring his family to home games out of fear for what they may hear said about their father. And recently, after he asked people to not call him 'Westbrick', NBA fans flooded his Instagram comments with the same.

Magic Johnson also urged the Lakers fanbase to stop sending death threats and violent messages to Westbrook and his family, noting that such behavior should not and will not be tolerated. The Westbrook situation has truly gotten extremely volatile, and one can hope that things settle down soon.
