Russell Westbrook is known to throw down some freakishly athletic dunks, and in tonight’s game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Charlotte Bobcats, Westbrook added another one to the highlight reel.
In the closing seconds of the first half, Westbrook blew past Bobcats point guard Kemba Walker and threw down a powerful one-handed dunk that brought the crowd to their feet.
Rookie Michael Kidd-Gilchrist made a wise decision to get out of the way and avoid being posterized by the all-star point guard.

Russell Westbrook gets his fair share of blame when things go wrong for the Oklahoma City Thunder, but everything was going right for them on Monday night.
In a blowout win over the Charlotte Bobcats, Westbrook earned some well-deserved accolades for himself by throwing down a monster dunk at the end of the first half. To punctuate the slam, the point guard even did a little high...
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Before the Charlotte Bobcats took the floor Monday, coach Mike Dunlap told his players to not listen to the outside noise. Even though the team had already matched its win total from the previous season, he didn't want the Bobcats to start believing the hype about how good they were. Dunlap's words turned out to be prophetic, as the Oklahoma City Thunder...

I’ll start off with a full confession: I didn’t see the second overtime of the Bobcats win against Washington, because I had recorded the game and only gave myself a half-hour buffer afterward. But even if I had been watching the game live I might not have seen it, because I probably would have passed [...]

There are blowouts, and then there are routs. And then there are lambastes. And then there are trounces. And then there are clobberings. Also thrashings. Whichever one of those you find to be most devastating, that's what the Thunder did to the Bobcats last night. As you can see if the photo above, OKC led by 54 at one point in the third quarter. 54!

The Oklahoma City Thunder produced one of the most dominant first halves in NBA history Monday night, building a 64-24 halftime lead against the Charlotte Bobcats.
It was the fifth-biggest halftime lead in NBA history and the largest since Golden State set the record with an 88-41 edge on Sacramento on Nov. 2, 1991, according to STATS LLC. The Thunder franchise record for a halftime...
“We kind of know that OKC is a test for us, we failed it miserably,” coach Dunlap said after the Bobcats were beaten by a number so huge that it needed to be written in scientific notation. He’s right about Charlotte failing miserably. This was their first test against a traditional powerhouse, and it went [...]

When you're hot, you're hot. When you're not, you're the Bobcats playing the NBA Finals runner-up Thunder. This was a nightmare of a game to watch. My oldest son said there was no point in watching and that the Bobcats were going to lose. I explained that in order to write a game recap, I had to watch. He suggested...

His performance wasn’t as breathtaking for DC fans as it would be with RG3 per se, but at sub-100 percent health, Nene gave the Wizards every drop he had, and all but fulfilled his role as the Savior of the Sea Dogs. You can blame @kevinhine for that reference...
Come on back down Bobcats fans. We got some stuff to talk about.
Hello Bobcats fans. Before everyone blows last night’s loss completely out of proportion, I feel that I need to share a few things with everyone. This is done to keep everyone, including myself, calm. We have to be realistic about this team. They are better than last year. Make no mistake about it...
While the Charlotte Bobcats have shown significant improvement this season, there weren't many positives to take away from their last game.
Things aren't about to get much easier with another matchup against the surging Atlanta Hawks up next.
