After one of the better rookie seasons in recent memory, Tyreke Evans exploded onto the professional scene after averaging 20-5-5 in the 2009-10 NBA season. The 2009 4th overall pick and 2010 Rookie of the Year was simply spectacular and stardom was considered a given. However, now after two plus seasons later, Sacramento Kings fans are still waiting for his rookie self to come back and his long-term status with the team is not known. Evans was great for the simple fact that his type is not often seen in the league. He is a 6 foot 6, athletic freak who can play point guard. He is basically able to get to the hoop whenever he pleases and can create his own shot whenever he wishes and he is simply too big for point guards to guard. All year long, he got to the rim for baskets and free throw attempts and was able to post high point totals.
